Built a simple wall mounted bike stand instead of buying one

Had some spare wood lying around and decided to make a DIY wall mounted stand for my road bike.

The idea was pretty simple that is to support the top tube from two wooden blocks and keep the bike completely off the floor. I did search pinterest for some ideas and finally decided to go with this.

Very simple yet workable.

I have a small house and often bike used to come in my way. I wanted to make something for it so that everytime I don't band myself into it.

It’s not the prettiest bike rack in the world 😅, but it’s looks solid and now that it's in the air it does save a lot of space.😉

Would love some feedback from the community.

Well i am apprehensive that it shouldng fall. I think I need to put iron clips underneath it. Is it safe for long term storage?

Any suggestions to this mod?

This cost me almost nothing, so definitely open to suggestions before I call this a success 😂

What would you change?

Thanks in anticipation

Anyone else's day start before sunrise? 4:30 AM cycling club, checking in 🚴

There's a strange kind of camaraderie in being awake at 4:30 AM when most of the world isn't. No traffic, no noise — just empty roads, cool air, and whatever pace your legs feel like giving that day.

I know we all build our routines differently. Some people get their best hours late at night, some need that early morning quiet to think straight before the day gets loud.

For me, it's turned into this: coffee, dates and a banana, then out the door while everyone else's alarm is still an hour away.

What I love most isn't really the ride itself, it's knowing there's a whole quiet community of us doing this at the same time, in different cities, probably never crossing paths, all chasing the same sunrise. Feels less lonely when you think about it that way.

If you're an early rider (or runner, or swimmer), what does your morning routine actually look like? Genuinely curious how everyone else pulls this off, especially on the days motivation is nowhere to be found.
