Looking for advice from cyclists who own highend carbon bikes. I’m planning to buy one around ₹1.8L. Considering the Fuoco Top Gen 2 (UCI-approved) or the Indian Stimula RCX with Shimano 105. RCX frame is made in China but assembled in India. Which would you suggest? Specs & photos are attached
I want to buy Carbon frame cycle. With range of 1.80L. So I’ve thought of going with Fuoco Top Gen2 which has UCI approved frame. But then I am thinking that whether I should buy Indian Carbon frame road bike which has Shimano 105 made by Stimulai RCX (frame made in china but entire cycle is assembled in India
Debating whether if I should repair/upgrade or grab a cheap new one
For context I’m 6’1 and weigh 92 kg, I need a bike only for cardio and medium intense riding on a combination of asphalt and typical Indian roads. Thing is I’m on a budget and what’s ideal for me ? (Also it’s a really old bike )

Beginner looking for first bike under ₹35k
Hi everyone,
This is my second post for similar question. (https://www.reddit.com/r/india\_cycling/s/v7yxSzm9zJ)
I'm looking to start cycling as beginner for fitness and endurance. Here are my details:
Age: 35yrs Male
Weight:95kgs
Height:177cms (5'10")
Riding Conditions: Smooth state highways & paved roads around our town
Target Distance: ~50 km rides
Budget: Under ₹35,000
I’ve narrowed my search down to these 4 bikes:
- CRADIAC Concept X (24-Speed Hybrid, Disc Brakes, 700x35c tires)
- Battalion Frontline V3 (2x7 Road Bike, Rim Brakes, 700x28c tires)
https://battalionbikes.com/products/frontline-v3-new
- Triban RC100 (1x7 Road Bike, Rim Brakes, 700x32c tires)
- FitTrip Super Velo (2x7 Road Bike, Disc Brakes, 700x25c tires)
https://fittripbikes.com/single-shop/super-velo
Given my weight (95 kg) and long-distance goal, I want to ensure I pick a bike with comfortable geometry, good gear range, and tires that won't give frequent punctures or a harsh ride.
Questions:
Which of these four is the best option for a beginner at my weight?
Are 25c tires on the FitTrip too narrow for 95 kg?
Should I stick to a hybrid (CRADIAC) or go for an endurance drop-bar road bike (Battalion/Triban)?
Are there any other alternative bikes under ₹30-35k I should consider?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Which bicycle should I buy for a Mechi → Mahakali cycling trip? 🚲🇳🇵

Hey everyone,
I'm from Nepal and planning my first serious long-distance cycling trip in about 4 months.
My goal is to cycle from Mechi/Kakarbhitta to Mahakali/Gaddachowki, roughly 1,000+ km across Nepal.
A little about me:
\- Height: \~5'11" / 180 cm
\- Weight: \~65 kg
\- Current bicycle: None
\- Cycling experience: I can comfortably do 20–30 km
\- I can run 6–10 km under an hour, so my general fitness is decent
\- I used to work out at the gym
\- This will be my first multi-day cycling expedition
Budget 💰
I currently have around NPR 15,000, but I'm saving more.
My target bicycle budget is around NPR 25,000–35,000.
I don't mind waiting and saving more if spending an extra amount will make a meaningful difference in reliability and comfort.
I'm mainly looking for something that is:
\- Reliable for 1,000+ km
\- Comfortable for 70–100+ km riding days
\- Suitable for Nepal's roads and hills
\- Easy to repair and find parts for in Nepal
\- Capable of carrying some luggage
\- Good value rather than just having lots of gears/specs
I've been looking at bikes like the Galaxy ML150 27.5", but I'm also considering Trinx and other brands.
What bicycle/model would you recommend in Nepal for NPR 25–35k?
Also, would you recommend:
\- 27.5" or 29"?
\- MTB, hybrid, or touring bike?
\- New or used?
\- Is it worth increasing my budget?
I'd really appreciate recommendations from people who have actually ridden/cycled in Nepal.
Thanks! 🙏🚲🇳🇵
Magene integrated mount on a normal 31.8mm handlebar?
I accidentally bought this Magene integrated handlebar mount, but my bike has a normal 31.8mm round handlebar.
Is there an adapter that lets me use this mount without drilling/modifying my handlebar?
, I want to reuse this mount with a 31.8mm clamp + adapter plate rather than buy another mount.
Any suggestions or links would be appreciated!
I got it from bumsonthesaddle i cant even return can anyone help me
or if anyone is intrested in exchanging this with a regular mount

RC100 — Broken rear-wheel spoke and wobbling wheel after 5 months. What should I do?
I bought a Decathlon RC100 on 8 March 2026. This is my first proper geared bicycle, so as a beginner, I did not thoroughly inspect the cycle when I purchased it.
I have been riding it normally since then. From the beginning, I noticed that the derailleur was not properly calibrated, which was causing inconsistent gear shifting. I thought I will get it corrected at local shop
Yesterday, while checking the gears, I noticed that one of the rear-wheel spokes was out of place (see video). I took the bicycle to a local cycle shop, and they told me that the spoke is actually broken and that the rear wheel is wobbling (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O5TDIW3cJ9b3XHd-JCU4i9Bcw-OrohxW/view?usp=sharing).
As far as I know, I have been riding the bicycle normally and have not had any accident or major impact. I am therefore surprised that a spoke has broken after only around five months of normal use. I understand that wheels/spokes can require maintenance, but I am wondering whether this could be considered a warranty issue, particularly since the bicycle is relatively new.
The nearest Decathlon store is around 40 km from me, and I don't have a car, so taking the bicycle there is not particularly easy.
What would you suggest as the next step?
- Should I contact Decathlon customer support first and explain the issue?
- Should I ask them specifically for a warranty inspection?
- Is it safe to ride the bicycle 40 km to the Decathlon store, or should I get the wheel repaired locally first?
- Has anyone with an RC100 faced a similar broken-spoke/wobbling-wheel issue and successfully had it resolved under warranty?
Any advice from RC100 owners or people familiar with Decathlon's warranty/service process would be appreciated. 🚲 Please help me in this issue.

Is this an issue of shifter
i think the derailleur is working fine but the shifter does not cause movement in the derailleur cable i.e. shifter doesn't change the tension in cable.
What could be the issue here.
Van rysel Cues vs 105?
Anyone here who has had the opportunity to ride both the EDR AF Cues and 105? None are available to test ride as far as I know. Think I am leaning towards the cues due to the durability of the group set and easier climbing gears (100kg rider 😭) but everyone tells me that the shifting on the 105 is a whole another level. I am not going to race but just do long rides on weekends (50-100km). If you have tried out both which would you suggest?

Help in choosing my next cycle/bike!!
Hello everyone,
So I used to cycle a lot when I was in school (20-30kms back then)
And now after about a decade I want to restart it.
But I'm a bit confused with the amount of cycles available in market.
My requirements and constraints:
I need something for long rides, something which doesn't tire me easily (so I guess the thin tyred bikes?)
Has to have disc brakes.
Comfortable seat
Should be light enough to clock high speeds
About suspension I'm not sure which one would be nice so please suggest
Budget is 18k

Normal shorts over cycling underwear
Hi I want to know your opinion on cycling underwears. I have thin legs so cycling shorts that hug the legs tightly looks very odd on me. So instead I am thinking of buying a cycling underwear where I can wear a normal shorts over it. Has anyone tried this. Want to know if this works for long rides.
