Beginner looking for first bike under ₹35k

Hi everyone,

This is my second post for similar question. (https://www.reddit.com/r/india\_cycling/s/v7yxSzm9zJ)

I'm looking to start cycling as beginner for fitness and endurance. Here are my details:

Age: 35yrs Male

Weight:95kgs

Height:177cms (5'10")

Riding Conditions: Smooth state highways & paved roads around our town

Target Distance: ~50 km rides

Budget: Under ₹35,000

I’ve narrowed my search down to these 4 bikes:

  1. CRADIAC Concept X (24-Speed Hybrid, Disc Brakes, 700x35c tires)

https://cradiac.com/products/cradiac-concept-24-speed-gear-hybrid-cycle-700-35-c-bike-rigid-fork-6061-alloy-frame-700-35c-nylon-tires-dual-disc-brakes-ideal-for-15-years-men-boys-girls-copy

  1. Battalion Frontline V3 (2x7 Road Bike, Rim Brakes, 700x28c tires)

https://battalionbikes.com/products/frontline-v3-new

  1. Triban RC100 (1x7 Road Bike, Rim Brakes, 700x32c tires)

https://www.decathlon.in/p/8515669/road-bike-triban-rc100-flat-bar-aluminium-frame-7-speed-caliper-brakes

  1. FitTrip Super Velo (2x7 Road Bike, Disc Brakes, 700x25c tires)

https://fittripbikes.com/single-shop/super-velo

Given my weight (95 kg) and long-distance goal, I want to ensure I pick a bike with comfortable geometry, good gear range, and tires that won't give frequent punctures or a harsh ride.

Questions:

  1. Which of these four is the best option for a beginner at my weight?

  2. Are 25c tires on the FitTrip too narrow for 95 kg?

  3. Should I stick to a hybrid (CRADIAC) or go for an endurance drop-bar road bike (Battalion/Triban)?

  4. Are there any other alternative bikes under ₹30-35k I should consider?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Beginner looking for road bike recommendations in ₹35k–₹40k range (Location: Outskirts of Hyderabad)

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to start cycling regularly for fitness and need some recommendations for a beginner-friendly road bike.

My Profile & Requirements:

* Age/Gender: 35M

* Height: 5'10" (178 cm)

* Weight: 95 kg

* Location: Remote/outskirts of Hyderabad (roads can be a mix of smooth asphalt, patchy stretches, and occasional gravel)

* Budget: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 (strict budget for the bike itself, keeping a bit aside for essential accessories like a helmet)

A few specific questions I have:

* Model Recommendations: In this ₹35k–₹40k budget, what are the best options currently available in India? (e.g., Decathlon Triban series, Battalion Frontline, or any other reliable brands?)

* Road Bike vs. Endurance/Hybrid: Given my weight (95 kg) and living in a remote area with varying road conditions, is a traditional drop-bar road bike manageable, or should I consider an endurance/gravel/hybrid frame with wider tire clearance for better comfort and stability?

* Sizing & Durability: At 5'10", should I be looking at a Medium or Large frame size depending on the brand? Also, do I need to look out for specific wheel/rim strength for my weight?

* Pre-owned Market: Is it worth looking for a second-hand entry-level road bike (like a used Giant Escape / Polygon / higher-end Triban) around Hyderabad via Cyclop/OLX within this budget?

Would love to hear suggestions from fellow cyclists in and around Hyderabad!

Thanks in advance.

12 YOE IT Pro (Backup/Cloud Ops, 25LPA Hyd) needs AI-proof, non-coding path advice.

Hi everyone,

I have around 12 years of experience in IT, mainly working as a Backup Solutions Engineer, currently earning around 25 LPA in Hyderabad.

My daily work mostly involves otherthan Backup tool is managing and configuring VMs, networks, storage, and IAM roles on various clouds like Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI — but all at a basic, L1-L2 level.

I’m not from a coding background, and honestly, I don’t enjoy coding much. I’m now looking to switch my career into something that is future-proof (AI-resistant) and doesn’t require heavy programming.

I’m open to learning new technologies or reskilling if needed.

Could you please suggest possible career paths, certifications, or domains that fit this profile and have good long-term prospects?

Thanks in advance for your guidance!
