I live at home with parents at the moment, so the furniture I have needs to stay. Based on the layout of my room, this is where the furniture placement is staying.
I really like to use soft ambient lighting next to the TV, and the best thing I've been able to come up with that I like in terms of the light it gives off is putting string lights in a some sort of vace with a cut out pattern. I realize string lights aren't the best looking, so I'm hoping to see if anyone has any other ideas for something that can give a similar aesthetic in terms of the light it gives off, but it being elevated. I use lamps throughout the rest of the bedroom with hue lights; however, I have tried lamps on this console before and prefer the makeshift lighting I have over that, I think it might be the patterns of the lighting that I find relaxing. Not sure.
The vibe (hate that word haha) I'm going for is relaxing & chill, I almost think if you google relaxing jazz bar interior, that's the look I like.
Also open to ideas for the area above the tv/mirror behind the tv.
I've considered doing like a gallery wall above it.
