Body Text: Hi everyone! I am Joe Tafolla, a licensed Loan Officer specializing in the Greater Seattle area. I am excited to announce that I will be hosting an Ask Me Anything (AMA) right here on r/SeattleAreaRE this coming Friday at 1:00 PM PST.
About me / What we can chat about: I've been in the industry for 23 years, own my own mortgage brokerage, and have been local to the Seattle area (since '95). As a broker I take a unique approach to strategies that maximize your savings on a purchase and how to properly minimize your carry costs with the bank. My focus is holistic savings through the entirety of your homeownership, so you'll hear strategies that banks and other large brokerages don't focus on because it's not what works best for them. It's what works for you.
Buying & Selling: Strategies for first-time buyers, moving up, dealing with equity lock or payment shock, we'll touch on it all.
Neighborhoods: Because I grew up in Seattle I've got a unique perspective and insights on schools, commutes, and community vibes across the greater Seattle area. The Process: Structuring an offer so you don't need to be the highest bidder in a multiple offer situation, or increasing the likelihood of getting a lowball offer accepted if it's sat on the market for a while. Ways to protect yourself from overpaying, what reasonable timelines look like for a particular strategy and much more.
