Radio not playing

Over the last couple of days I've started having radio issues. Selecting the Radio as the source I get a blank black screen and no stations to select, and as a result no sound.

I've tried changing Source and then coming back, mute and invite the sound. Turning it up extra loud and still nothing.

The other media apps like News play ok. Spotify through android auto is ok via my phone.

No OTA system updates since March.

No it's not linked to me trying to connect to my home network.

There have been some reports on other forums but nothing conclusive.

Anyone know what the App is that Alpine use for the radio so I can refresh it? Or indeed how to remove it...

Any ideas???

Launch control - anyone used it?

Google seems to think ...

That the a290 has launch control

Yes, the Alpine A290 comes equipped with a dedicated launch control feature. It is designed to manage traction and torque to give you the quickest possible standing start.

How to use it:

Prepare: Ensure the electric motor and battery are at their normal operating temperatures.

Engage: Press and hold the brake pedal with your left foot.

Activate: Long-press the red "OV" (Overtake) button located on the steering wheel.

Launch: Press the accelerator pedal all the way down, and then simply lift your foot off the brake to take off.

Using this feature—along with Alpine Torque Technology to prevent wheelspin—allows the 220 hp electric hot hatch to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.4 seconds.

Anyone any experience of this? Is it worth using on that odd occasion that you find yourself racing for pink slips...

Obviously racing on the King's highway?...not me officer.

Adding car to home network

Tried for 20 minutes to connect my car (UK GTS) to my home router. Car can see it, says it's locked but doesn't give me the option to key my password. Any ideas?

Drivers foot rest?

Anyone finding the driver's footrest on the LHS for your 'spare' foot is too low to be able to brace yourself?

With all the 3-D printing discussion on cup holders can anyone design something for my left foot? Adjustable if possible and definitely non-slip. Wdyt?

New cup holder design

Found this cup holder recently. Was a little sceptical as the price was much lower than others on the favourite online selling platform. However quality and finish is great. It still allows your phone to slide onto the charging mat and the cabin mood lighting to be seen. Comes with 3m tape to fix but seems pretty stable without. Not tried it with a drink in for size or stability but has a pretty broad base. I'm not connected at all with the seller but imho it's the best one on the market.
