Season 7
I know season 7 is generally not liked and I usually skip the first half when re-watching, but I decided to watch this time. I now remember why I skip it. Christopher is so insufferable in this season. I know they were trying to show that, while Christopher and Lorelai have chemistry and seem right on paper, they just weren't meant to be but wow he's obnoxious. I was watching the episode where Chris got the letter from Sherry and was wanting to send Gigi to Paris to see her. His actual plan was to put his 4 year old on a plane with a nanny and send them half way across the world on their own. Then, Gigi would get dumped with a mom she hasn't seen in two years and barely remembers. When Lorelai brings up the obvious flaws with this plan, Christopher doesn't listen and instead turns it around and blames it on Lorelai being jealous. Are you freaking kidding me? Christopher, you are not that special. He truly believes he offers way more value than he actually does. This also got me thinking that, of course Christopher doesn't see an issue with just sending Gigi to stay with her mom on her own. That's how he thinks parenting works. He was barely in Rory's life, came and went as he pleased, so he doesn't see the issue with Sherry doing the same thing. Then, this man has the audacity to get made at Lorelai for not wanting to immediately have another kid with him. Ugh!
