
I bought the 28” XL almost a year ago and have been cooking on it about twice per week. It seems like I can’t get that black shine that others have.
My cleaning process after I eat is to turn it back on, let it heat up on medium, spray some water, scrape, turn the heat off, spray a bit more water, wipe, light coat of oil, spread it out, and then close the lid and cover the grill.
At this point, should I just grind it down to the metal and start over with new seasoning?
