I've been wanting a Mido Ocean Star watch for a while, but the prices seemed to be a touch high, so while surfing around I came across this one at Ashford. With tax, it was ~$500. After researching and seeing that most places wanted ~$1100, I pulled the trigger. I would have liked an exhibition back, but the rose gold case back looks great. I think it's a good piece for the price, and the movement is the same as the Powermatic 80 from Tissot. The included band was a nice blue sailcloth over leather, but I changed it because I'd rather beat up a $20–$40 band than the one that came with it.
