What is the difference between Africa & Africa Safari e-sim package?

I will be travelling to Kenya for 10 days. Most of the days I will be in Nairobi, but a few of those days will be spent in the Safari (Maasai Mara Reserve area).

I went into the Airalo website and went under the "regional eSIMs" tab and saw options for "Africa" and "Africa Safari".

Which one should I be opting for?

I will also have quite a long transit in China on both ends of the trip. Ideally I would like to be able to stay connected throughout my entire trip for safety purposes. For that reason, would it make more sense for me to take the Global package?

3 days solo in Nairobi, Kenya. What can I do?

I have a work trip coming up in Nairobi, but I'll have an additional full 3 non-working days to spend on my own. I'm not overly ambitious on what I can cover, but I'd really like to experience my first safari as it'll be my first time in Africa. I'm not entirely sure if I'll ever be able to afford to come to this region again if it's not for work.

With that in mind, as a solo female, I'm looking for advice on a reliable (and safe) safari tour operator and I'd also like to hear thoughts on what would be the best option that would give me the best bang for my buck.

I initially thought of just going on a half day tour at the Nairobi National Park and then the Giraffe Centre. However, I've also been told that I should explore Hell's Gate instead, since I really love being immersed in vast nature spaces.

Then I came across this 1-day Masai Mara National Reserve tour for $672, which is really stretching my budget a little bit. However, I would be willing to pick this if someone who has been to these places and can vouch for this choice.

For a bit of context, my priority list for these 3 days would be:

  1. Having a safe, fun and memorable Safari experience
  2. Picking up some local artisanal crafts as a souvenir (I like bringing home local hand made craft from my travels)
  3. Getting to a post office, as I also have a long standing tradition of sending post cards from my travels

I feel a bit overwhelmed as this will be quite a last minute trip, and I haven't been able to go into a deep dive as I normally would have liked to do. So I would really appreciate any input from those who have been to Kenya, especially as a solo traveller.
