I have a dual boot Windows/Ubuntu system and I barely use Windows at all. All things I need to do I can do in Ubuntu (though my skills with Linux is limited). The only times I have to boot Windows is when my external hard drives/pen drives have read/write errors, because I can't figure out how to fix them in Ubuntu, while in Windows I just have to stick them in and Windows will fix it for me.

Is there a program that works the same way? It detects a problem with a disk/pen drive and just... fix it? Because if there is, then I have no need for Windows anymore and that would be a good thing :--)
