Authenticator app capability coming soon. (hopefully)

I just got off a chat with "April" in which I asked if Schwab was going to implement authenticator capability. Her response:

We are in the process of providing the option to use third party authenticator apps, but I see it is not quite available yet. We do not have an exact date yet, but should be soon!

I asked if she had a timeline...

I don't. They have not given us one, just that it would be soon, so my assumption is within the next month or two.

That sounds promising but I really don't know why Schwab would be so far behind the times with this. This is the first time I've used chat with Schwab. Their phone help has always been stellar so I'm hoping the chat is also and we can really think it will be a matter of a couple of months. Of course I don't know if April is a real person or not...

New Echo Dot... will it answer calls?

My GF got a new Echo Dot to use for her elderly mom with the understanding that it could be set to answer the phone automatically. So far I haven't been able to figure that out. I'm a boomer and the phones are Android but still it doesn't seem like it should be this hard. Am I trying to do something that the ED doesn't do?

So far I've been able to connect the phone and import contacts but I can't even get the ED to announce a caller. The phone is connected to the ED via bluetooth as well as through the Alexa app. The phone (Samsung S10e) is set to answer calls automatically through the "accessibility" settings but it doesn't happen.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am about to visit my aunt who is 99 and deaf. Her eyesight isn't great either but her mind is sharp. I intend to use my tablet so she can read my words. I found the live transcribe app to be useful for this but I would like to make the font bigger then the max size on the app. Is there another app that would allow the font to be even bigger or have a bold font version as well?
