Some not so extreme suspension help.
So I bought a 2012 limited with 190k
The truck has been pretty well taken care of. The Xreas system had at some point been replaced. To me it looks like the rear end is lower than the front, I went ahead and replaced the rear shocks with 5100s. The ride is better, but I feel I should replace the springs as well. I think there’s still more bounce in the rear than the front.
What should I look for in springs, brand and height? I’m guessing that a 1” lift spring would restore it to original level.
I’m thinking 6112’s on the front to match the lift of whatever I do when replacing the rear.
I’d like to have a little more height but with the 20” rims, I don’t want to look stupid either. My hobby is outdoor photography so I’ll be on gravel roads, in fields and that sort of thing. Nothing too extreme that would require I go to 17s for more sidewall and airing down.
This is my 1st 4Runner so I’m kinda new to this and would be thankful for any opinions and ideals.
