Could use some feedback on short form reviews.

Could use some feedback on short form reviews.

I bought a bunch of shoes last couple of months and love to share my experience with other people so that they can make a better decision. There are already enough YT reviews and I’m just doing it for fun. So I don’t want to invest too much time or money into making high quality videos.

For now I just recorded all my shoes and made a video of less than a minute giving my scores on a couple of points.

I was thinking that I should maybe add retail price and if it’s worth buying or not for that price.

If you have time and would like to give some feedback I’d appreciate it. It’s just a fun little project. I have I think 15 more short reviews coming up until July. After that I’m not sure if I’ll continue since I haven’t bought any new shoes recently.

Any other shinies with a different item instead of color?

This is now my favorite shiny because it rolls a nugget instead of dung. Any others like this?

This game is messing with me (DLC shiny hunting)

Charmander outbreak. Did 2 sandwiches, no luck. Decided to thin the herd a bit more and encountered first Charmander in this video. As you can see I saved. Accidentally knocked it out. Restarted. Charmander was gone.

So I thinned the herd a bit more and did a new sandwich (#3). Encountered a Charmander almost immediately. Within a couple of minutes I found a third one.

It was midnight for me and the outbreaks reset. I had a litleo outbreak and still about 15 minutes left on the sandwich. Managed to catch 2 litleo and a pyroar.

😒 was hunting Charmander for more than an hour and then within 30 minutes I get 5 shinies.

Shoe bag

I asked for some recommendations in a previous post.

Unfortunately the options provided weren’t that easy to get where I live (either they don’t ship or shipping + tariffs isn’t worth it).

So I settled on this Jordan Collectors duffle bag. It has some velcro to create compartments. It fits 3 size 13 shoes. Room for a bottle or 2 on the sides. Three small compartments on the front with more space than I expected. I only bring shoes and a brace to practice, so this is ideal for me if I want to change shoes during practice.

This is the reason I am not hyped about the rerelease of the KD6’s. Unless they have a better material. One slide and the shoe is ruined. They look a bit cheap at the moment. Plus they ruined all my socks. Ended up having to throw away a bunch of comfortable socks.

Any tips on how to prevent this?

My usual work pants are too slim, so had to resort to jeans.

Repost since the original post got deleted.

My info: 38 yo, 1.86/6’1 and 90 kg/198 pounds. Play organized league basketball as a 3/4/5.

My Nike size is 13 US. Most shoes here are that size.

Top left to bottom right

Puma All Pro Nitro Elite, bought it for the drop in midsole. It is in the Kobe 9 Protro.

Puma, size 12.5, wore it a couple of times. It isn’t the best for traction and it has a better version of it. It was only 20 bucks, so bought it. It was nice the couple of times I wore it, but not a rotation cracker.

Joker 1 GT, this is one of my favorite shoes. Elite traction. Nice cushioning. Only gripe with this shoe is the material and the lacing. It looks a bit cheap in hand compared to on photos. Lacing doesn’t always give me proper lockdown immediately. Other than that one of the best shoes.

Jordan 40, the breakin was BRUTAL. Stuck with it since I did love the cushioning. Traction is good as well. Only reason I don’t wear it as much is once I felt my foot move a bit too much on the edge of the footbed. For 140 bucks I can recommend this shoe tho.

Tatum 1. Just love the design. They do run long, but with an extra insole it gives me proper lockdown. Traction isn’t the best.

Book 1, love these. They are so comfy on feet. All three have different materials and due to that feel a bit different as well. Traction is solid. Lockdown varies. The blue blood gives me slightly better lockdown, but the leather one feels better on foot.

Ja 2, never hooped in them. Just liked the KoolAid theme.

Ja 3, these are surprisingly comfortable. Had no issues with them rolling over (yet). Not fully broken in. No issues with tractions and I play on a pretty dusty court. Lockdown is a bit annoying cause the tongue and laces are so stiff.

LeBron 21, had to get them, but I hate these. So bulky. Hate the strap. Not a bad shoe, but just too heavy. Maybe my only regret.

LeBron 23, played in them twice. First game I swapped them out for other shoes. They run long and feel clunky. I do love the design.

LeBron Witness 9, surprised by this shoe. It picks up a lot of dust, but perfomance wise it was pretty good, especially for the price. The cushion is nice. Good lockdown. Runs a bit long as well. This cw has nice materials, so I’d go for this one.

KT10, these are an overall good shoe. Run a bit long as well. If I went a half size down I might’ve used them for games as well. They are perfect for practice tho.

Liren 5, they fit very very tight and should’ve probably half sized up for a more comfortable experience. They do have good traction and lockdown. Lightweight and low to the ground feel (forefoot). They aren’t for me tho.

WoW AC13, these are one of the best shoes I’ve worn. Comfortable, great lockdown, great traction. Had some issues with digging into my heel, but that seems more related to the state of my body than the shoe. Runs a tiny bit long, but with the extra lace holes you can lock it down enough that it doesn’t impact performance.

WoW AC14, disappointed in this shoe. Picked up so much dust. Lockdown is a step down from the AC13. Will give it more time to break in. (ETA: this shoe doesn’t run long like the AC13. It’s comfortable on foot. Performance wise I’m just not sold yet.)

JB3, great traction. Cushioning is nice. Still have to get used to the shoe as it has the same digging in issue as the AC13, but this one feels like it’s the shoe.

Don Issue 7, maybe the coziest shoe on the list. Think I should’ve gone a half size down, even tho the shoe is pretty tight on my foot. It isn’t as easy to tie the laces tighter. For some reason the shoe doesn’t work for me. I got them for like 60 bucks, so it was worth the price.

Harden vol. 10, size 12.5, these might be my favorite of the year. Cozy, great lockdown and the cushioning is great. Slight digging into my ankles, but with a small adjustment it’s fine. The laces aren’t the best, they feel like they’d get untied easily, but they don’t. Traction is also good, unlike what some reviewers say.

Sabrina 3, they are alright. Better than the 1s that I have. Those became skates after a while.

Kobe 9 Protro, with the Puma insole they are beasts. Light weight low to the ground. Used to be my dedicated Gameday shoe, until I got the Hardens.

Kobe 11 Protro, disappointed in the fit. They run long. Don’t feel as snug as the OG Kobe 11’s I have (those feel more like SB’s). Haven’t worn them on court yet tho. Because of the aforementioned reasons.

I might make a tier list later.

My top 3

  1. Harden

  2. All City

  3. All City 13
