How can I tell what transmission a car has while in the vehicle selection menu?

Surely I don’t have to start a race or look at the 3d model in the garage to see? Why wouldn’t that just be in the specs on the menu?

I can’t get to 8th gear in the SF25 f1 car.

Using default setup on Red Bull ring and also Spa. The car struggles to use the full gears available even on long straights totally flat out. What am I doing wrong?

FFB differences between road, race & formula cars

I’ve never driven a GT race car or a Formula car, but I like the idea of FFB settings that replicate the feel of each class of car as closely as possible.

When I’m setting up FFB profiles for my MOZA R9, what I generally do is set up three different FFB classes. One for road cars, one for race cars and one for formula cars. My theory is that road cars are going to feel by far the lightest and “floatiest” on the wheel, where as race cars, like GT3, will feel much more weighted with slower overall max wheel speed, and then a formula car wheel would probably feel the heaviest of all, in terms of wheel inertia and slow wheel turn speed.

Is that a good rule of thumb or is that just not true at all?

Would love to hear the developer’s “vision” for the mercenary system

Because right now I think it could be improved by a lot.

In terms of gameplay, the current implementation consists of basically choosing the cheapest name off of a long list and then an army materializes in your capital in a few days. Maybe they’re Italian, maybe they’re polish, who knows, who cares.

How about something closer to imperator, where merc bands are actually camped on the map. It would be much more fun to play in northern Italy or the HRE with tons of condottieri and landsknecht camped all over the place that are getting hired by the various rulers in the region.

Has anyone here successfully mounted VNM V1 pedals, with the heel rest, to a GT1 EVO chassis?

I should have paid closer attention to the list of compatible pedals before i bought the rig. VNM pedals arent on it and the holes don’t line up with the stock GT1 EVO pedal baseplate.

It seems like my options at this point are:

  1. buy the seat slider baseplate upgrade and hope the holes on that line up better with the VNMs. Does anyone know how I can find the measurements for the holes?

  2. Drill new holes in the stock baseplate. It looks like 1/4 inch steel though so that will probably be pretty hard.

  3. Hopefully something else…
