My guy is a true water dog, and my waterfowl hunting companion. Being a hunting dog, he requires frequent baths during the winter. And he thinks baths are basically water torture.

Loves ducks, loves balls, loves me, and that's about it.... He's not food/treat motivated no matter what I try, so the old "peanut butter on the wall" method doesn't sway him. I've tried heavy praise and love, even letting him bring a favorite ball into the tub with him.

Any advice for me? The alternative is him having to be kenneled during the waterfowl season instead of letting him sleep with me, which would probably be worse for him than having to endure frequent showers.

Sincerely,

-An exasperated waterfowler and his dog
