is it safe to use the launcher for pirated games? Including cracked steam and gog versions (repacks from dodi, sometimes fitgirl and gog-games)

I know this is probably a stupid and redundant question but better safe than sorry right?

The main reason I want to use the steam launcher is for steam overlay, I frequently use it. Second, I would also prefer having all my games in one place for convenience.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
