Is my first pair fitted correctly?

Hey all.. just purchased my first pair of soft bed Arizona’s, I had originally ordered a size 43, as I wear a Men’s US 10, and a 9.5 in dress shoes. My feet felt like they were swimming in the 43’s, so I exchanged them for a size 42. I think they look good, but notice when I walk, my toes have a tendency to bump into the tip of the shoe. What do yall think?

Email etiquette & COC

Is it disrespectful to CC my rating Detailer Master Chief, when emailing the First class e5 and below Detailer regarding a question or issue? I just want to make sure my concerns are heard and addressed, but don’t want to step on the First class’ toes, or make a mountain out of a molehill.

Can any engineers (EM) attest to quality of life on amphibs? LPD, LHDs etc. I’ve already done a tour on a DDG and will not do a small boy again, EE division is too small, with too much work to be done; on top of being lumped in with the rest of the ENG department and having to stand the engine room watches. I would prefer a ship with more than one First class billeted to the division as well. I have a carrier based NEC and am not opposed to a CVN either, but I’m interested in seeing a an amphib is a solid middle ground.

Hey all, I’m a 25 y/o male who was diagnosed with a herniated disc at L5-S1 in early January 2026, after being hospitalized after waking up the morning after a gym session. I had “thrown my back out” 2 or 3 times prior to the major event, but thought it was just a strained muscle or something.. woke up after the last occurrence and couldn’t stand up straight or walk properly, the rest is self explanatory.. an MRI was conducted etc. February 2026 I began physical therapy, which I have since completed my prescribed 16 visits of, and am now on my own to continue my recovery. I have made noticeable improvements, and have only had 1 “major flare up” that happened about a month into my PT.

But I feel like my healing progress has plateaued, I notice my back gets tired after walking for around 30-45 mins, and gets sore by mid-day after work. I continue doing my PT stretches daily, and walk/bike at the gym every evening. When should my back feel like it’s back to normal? It’s been 4 months already.. most days I feel pretty good, but when I wake up and have a bad back day once or twice a week I get frustrated and feel like I should be better by now. I miss weightlifting and have tried to get back to it a couple times recently, but feel like my back isnt ready and that I should just keep taking it easy with my cardio and stretches.

When did you guys start noticing your disc getting closer to 100% again? I keep reading that the general consensus is about a year?
