Is my idea cool or tacky?
I’m working on my 1972 c20, and peparing it for paint (which means ls replacing a lot of old parts) I took my cab lights off, and they were all sun rotted and broken. I’m not a huge fan of plastic on classic cars/trucks. I started looking online to see if there were any glass aftermarket cab lights, but had no luck. On my c20 the cab lights are factory so the metal on the roof is raised where they screw on. I just randomly grabbed a telephone insulator I had found in a creek recently and stuck it up there and I thought it looked kinda cool. I used chat gpt to make an image of the my truck with the paint I’m choosing to see what it could look like. Right now I have all different size and color insulators but eventually I’ll get enough to match. Let me know what you think! Thanks!
