Appliance technician. Have a customer with a no heat dryer. Measured the supply voltage first. I've got 120v AC from L1 to neutral, 120v AC from L2 to neutral, but 0v across L1 and L2.
Anytime I've encountered a no heat dryer and the issue is voltage, it's been that it's missing a leg. More often than not, it's a loose connection at the outlet or the outlet is bad itself. Never experienced this issue with the readings I mentioned above.
I changed the breaker for him, 30amp double breaker, but same reading...
Not sure where to go from there. I don't think a bad outlet could cause that kind of reading, can it? Any suggestions would help. Thank you for your time.
