How to Tell If a Card is Undervalued

A simple guide, all you need is one data point.

Ask the following question: "Do I own the card?"

If "Yes" then the card is undervalued. Go ahead and make a post on Reddit asking "Is this card undervalued?"

If "No" then the card is overvalued. Make sure that if you see anyone on Reddit talking about the card you interject that the card is overvalued and the price is going to crash.

The Lack of Knowledge is Staggering

There are so many "investors" rushing blindly into this market with literally zero knowledge it's kind of scary. The other day I came across this.

In the history of fake listings, this would certainly be the most audacious I've seen. Logan Paul's infamous PSA 10 pop 1 Illustrator Pikachu, which sold at auction a few months ago for $16M+, gets listed on eBay.

This is so painfully obvious it's a scam if you know anything about the Pokemon market. Yet five different people actually bid it up over $15k. Yeah obviously the buyer is going to get their money back. But the fact that people are willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars on a Pokemon card without actually doing any research on it is mind boggling. And perhaps a little concerning.
