Will non-English/non-Japanese Pokémon cards become valuable due to scarcity, or will liquidity always kill them?

I’ve had a few recent conversations where people advised me never to buy Pokémon cards (or other TCGs) in languages other than English or Japanese.

​However, I've noticed that regional markets are getting flooded, and cards in non-English/Japanese languages (like Spanish, German, French, etc.) are actually becoming much harder to find in low-print run regions.

​My theory is that in a few years, the extreme scarcity of these secondary-language prints might actually drive up their value.

Or will low market demand and lack of international liquidity always keep them down? What are your thoughts?

A friend found this in his storage

A friend found this in his storage, he asked me to look into it. The box and the factory plastic wrap has some damage, he said the packs and figure on the inside look good from what he can see. What do you think its worth, and is it worth selling not or holding onto for a little longer? A good condition gone went for $4600 earlier this year on ebay.

Is it finally time to sell?

I’m not sure if I should sell…. Been collecting for 20+ years since I was a kid. I bought this in a collection during Covid and with the PSA fee I’m into it about 70 bucks (bought a whole collection and this was behind a common card in the binder). I think it’s such an awesome card and I’m torn on what to do. These have gone through the roof and last sold is $13.6k and ones listed on eBay at $30k. I love it and i rarely sell anything but at this point….. is it worth it to sell over the love of the hobby?

Since we’re starting to pay attention to low pop vintage..

CGC 8, PSA 2

Just bought both CGC 9 and 10. I had an itch I wanted to scratch. If it moons, great. If not I have deux derpy ampharos.

Update: everyone is so salty. I’m totally fine keeping the cards in my PC. Just thought it was cool that it was a low pop.

I finally got my favorite card from Vending Series 3

I got it for $750, but I paid $200 for taxes 🥲 I still bit the bullet and bought it because I love the flat art so much and his little sketchy smile.
