Will non-English/non-Japanese Pokémon cards become valuable due to scarcity, or will liquidity always kill them?

I’ve had a few recent conversations where people advised me never to buy Pokémon cards (or other TCGs) in languages other than English or Japanese.

However, I've noticed that regional markets are getting flooded, and cards in non-English/Japanese languages (like Spanish, German, French, etc.) are actually becoming much harder to find in low-print run regions.

My theory is that in a few years, the extreme scarcity of these secondary-language prints might actually drive up their value.

Or will low market demand and lack of international liquidity always keep them down? What are your thoughts?
