Don’t you get it?

A sequel will come if this succeeds, which I think it will. Think about it. Switch 2 is a new system with few exclusives. They needed a sure-fire win fast and this was definitely in production from the start. It’s far easier to plan around an existing framework than to start from scratch.
Now that the team is familiar with the system and it capabilities it will be much easier to create an original project based on this past experience, just like how they reused the same engine from the Links Awakening remake to make Echoes of Wisdom.
I made this post in response to the backlash and disappointment I’ve recently seen which is utterly baffling to me.
