My 3 year old son had two small bald patches when he was 2, at which point we brought him to the derm, who said not to worry and it would grow back, which it did. It wasn't diagnosed at the time as persay AA, but I am assuming that it is.

He now has another 3-4 dime sized spots, and I'm getting worried. Very little information is available on this sub and online about AA at this age.

I will of course bring him back to the doctor, but for those who have dealt with this..

How common is it for AA to appear in young children and never reoccur?
