Wiring Help
Hi awesome community!
I’m going to preface this post by saying that I am an idiot.
So I was building an electric guitar and got most of the soldering done then had to stop for about a month or so to devote my time to more urgent matters. Now I’m trying to get back to it to find that I’ve lost my wiring diagram I was following and don’t know how to proceed. So I have a few questions I’m hoping someone here can help with. Please see attached photos for reference.
On the input jack there is a black and a purple wire. Which of these is the earth wire? What do I solder the earth wire to? And what do I solder the non-earth wire to?
In the second photo you’ll see a yellow wire, a red wire and multicoloured wires. The yellow wire is the neck pickup, the red is the bridge and the multicoloured is 3 way selector switch. Would I be correct in soldering the yellow wire to the neck potentiometer (see 3rd photo), and the red wire to the bridge potentiometer?
for the multicoloured wires (from the pickup selector), what do I solder these to? Of the multi wires the beige is the rhythm position, the black is centre/both, and the red is the treble position.
