I have a minor mystery I’d like to share.

So I had to update my mortgage information with my insurance company and they casually mentioned that a ton of mortgage company mailing addresses are all PO Boxes in Florence, SC.

I’m born and raised here and have been to Florence a few times - mainly to the mall or driving through on my way elsewhere in our great state. There isn’t much there, but I gotta know what is attractive for the mortgage industry there ?

Anybody have any ideas on why ? I can’t think of any tax incentives or anything that would make it worthwhile to get a PO Box there.
