I left as a DC about 5 years ago and have continually considered rejoining throughout that period. Have tried various corporate roles but nothing quite excites me in the same way as policing did.

There’s a lot of negativity towards the job on here, but has anybody had a positive experience with rejoining after a protracted stint away?

I am currently working in a Big4 Consulting role. I'm interested in pursuing qualification as an Accountant, although this is a different service line to my current role (Risk). Is there any realistic pathway for retraining as an Accountant from within a Big4 firm?

N.B: Particularly interested if anybody's either been through this or knows someone who has.
