Started working at Honda dealership in March. Those were the worst 4 months of my life.
Can’t wait to start my new job in August

Why was it bad?
Crazy hours 65-70 a week with irregular schedule
The contract was for one extra off day in first two weeks of the month which changed to a conditional off day if I had an appointment set for that day(so that another salesperson can sell a car and go 50/50 with me on it)
Being treated like children with required daily activity checkout(10 live phone calls at least 45seconds long, 30 emails 30 texts and 1 confirmed appointment) or two cars sold before you can go home regardless if you are on a early shift(9-6). If you haven’t reached those criteria you are staying till the close which is 9pm
Shady tactics being forced by managers( lying to prospects that car is available even tho it sold already) because we can sell him something else.
Putting people into very bad situations. The worst one I personally had was a 40yo guy came in and wanted to trade his accord(with $8k negative equity) for a Silverado. Managers asked for a co-signer and he used his blind and wheelchair bound mother. Still no approval so the deal went only with her. That guy brought his mom to the dealership, and finance manager went outside and worked the deal ona parking lot and took photos of her signing the paperwork and with keys to the truck. The deal? 84months, $900 payment and close to 20% Apr
