12.1.5 Housing Content Update Notes

Some official housing updates and announcements for the upcoming 12.1.5 patch that goes live on 13 October. The information shared here covers what we currently know is coming with the patch. As we get closer to release, additional details and housing changes may be revealed.

Stay tuned. We’ll continue sharing updates as more information becomes available.

The following information pertains exclusively to housing updates. That is the only information I've pulled for you here. For a comprehensive overview, please refer to Blizzard’s official News Update.

HOUSING

  • UI UPDATES
    • There are now keybinds for going up and down floors in floorplan edit mode (default page up/page down).
    • There's now a shortcut to get to your blueprint collection from the Housing Controls blueprint button.
  • ENDEAVORS
    • It was previously possible for Public Neighborhoods to receive the same Endeavor as the one they had previously been given. We've since fixed this so that Public Neighborhoods won't get repeat Endeavors back-to-back.
  • BLUEPRINTS
    • Stairwells will now export all stairwell rooms that are vertically connected to it. If you have a stairwell that is four units tall they will all be included. Importing this blueprint will connect it to an existing room from your choice of the bottom or top floor of the blueprint, if it does not collide with other rooms in your house.
    • The Blueprint Contents List UI will no longer include dyes that will come from decor that already has the matching dyes, and instead only lists dyes that will be applied via consuming dye items.
    • Dye tooltips in Customization Mode now clarify which Dye Item is used to apply that dye.
    • You can now get to your Blueprints Collection directly from the Blueprint control button at the top of the screen in your house or plot.
    • More clarifying text and tooltips have been added to the Blueprints collection UIs.

WARBAND REPUTATION

  • Legion and Battle for Azeroth reputations are now shared across the warband.
    • EDIT: Wanted to go back and add this part as it's important for the possible upcoming decor vendors and their items.

To claim it, you’ll need to locate the advertisement from Greener's Plant Nursery within the Zillow interface. Follow these steps:

  1. Select Explore Homes, found at the top of the front page.
  2. Select a Horde or Alliance neighborhood to start.
  3. If the promotion does not appear immediately, toggle between Horde and Alliance homes until the advertisement populates.
    • The toggle can be found at the top right with the Horde/Alliance symbols.
  4. Once you see the Greener's Plant Nursery advertisement, click on it.
  5. 'You Found a Secret'

If your Battle net account is already linked, the decoration will automatically be added to your in-game decor catalog. Otherwise, follow directions to link.

The following items are some loose odds and ends items that I'm going to attempt to tie up. I'm going to label this as Midnight because a majority of these sell for Undercoin. However, two of these items have nothing to do with Midnight. I mean, they came out during Midnight? Oh well.

I have done my best to compile and consolidate a list of potential upcoming housing decor obtainable through professions. While I have tried to be as thorough as possible, there may be an item or two that I missed along the way.

For easier reference, I have organized the decor list - first by profession, and then by expansion.

I wanted to take a moment and share with you some findings on the PTR. These items are from the Warlords of Draenor vendors. I found them to be fantastic, especially the willow trees.

(A/N: I do need to comment that some of the trees had to be shrunk down a tad - down to 75% - to fit into screenshot. They're quite big at 100%.)

Entryways Reenabled

Thanks to Tom, a Blizzard Dev, a messaged was relayed that entryways have been turned back on and are able to be moved. When the patch came out, due to an issue, they were disabled and locked in place. Not anymore.

So get those basements rolling! Show us what you got.

EDIT: This is in effect for NA. EU will need to wait for their weekly reset.

Pulled from a Blue’s post. Here are some known issues for the newly released 12.1. Please note only the housing issues are displayed and you are encouraged to read the entire article.

Blueprints
- Importing Exteriors from different plots can result in an undesireable Orientation.

Decor
- Dye cannot be applied to Spiral Wooden Stairs.
- Dye does not affect Razorwind Roofer’s Shingle.
- Textures from connected rooms may clip through an adjoining wall with Stormwind Kitchen.
- Plans: Ren’dorei Anvil cannot be refunded.

Features
- The entry room for a house cannot be moved to another location in the house.
- Locals who visit in Razorwind Shores may spawn in midair.

Hello Everyone!

How exciting for this upcoming 12.1 and the new blueprints feature!

As a notice to you, we’ve added new rules and guidelines for Blueprints and a Blueprints flair for community members who want to freely share housing designs that others can recreate in their own homes.

We've had quite a few inquiries how we plan to handle blueprints, so we wanted to make this clear as best as we could. We would like to give this feature an opportunity for the public. Will it be a great idea? Not a clue. However, we're willing to give this a shot.

It is being asked that everyone use it responsibly and respectfully so it can remain a positive resource for the entire community. Lastly, we hope you all enjoy the exciting changes coming with Patch 12.1.

If you have questions, we encourage you to join our DIscord and submit a ticket so we may privately alleviate any concerns you may have. In fact, we invite anyone to join to be more apart of this housing community.

BLUEPRINTS FLAIR

This flair will go live on 11 August.

The Blueprints flair is for sharing complete, or partial, housing designs using blueprint import codes.

Your post must include a working import code with this flair. If at any time you delete your blueprint code in-game, you must remove your post. Once you delete it, the code is no longer functional for anyone.

While not required, we strongly encourage creators to include as much helpful information as possible, such as:

  • Screenshots of the finished design
  • Item or decor lists
  • Layout references
  • Step-by-step instructions
  • Placement tips or additional notes

The goal is to make it as easy as possible for another community member to understand and recreate your design.

The Blueprints Flair and blueprints, in general, MAY NOT be used for:

  • Showcasing a design without providing an import code
  • Advertising paid blueprint services or commissions
  • Buying, selling, or trading blueprint codes
  • Offering blueprints in exchange for payment, tips, or other compensation
  • Offering pay for blueprint codes
  • Restricting blueprint access to paid subscribers or supporters
  • Using blueprint posts or comments to otherwise monetize a design

What you do behind closed doors is your business.

These actions are strictly prohibited on r/WoWHousing and using blueprint for financial gain may result in an immediate ban from the r/WoWHousing community.

REQUESTING BLUEPRINTS

Not every creator who showcases a build will want to share a blueprint, and that decision belongs entirely to the creator.

It is perfectly acceptable to politely ask once if someone is willing to share a blueprint.

Creators are under no obligation to provide one.

If the creator declines or chooses not to respond, please respect their decision and move on.

Repeated requests, pressure, entitlement, demands, or harassment over blueprint codes will not be tolerated. Harassing a creator because they do not wish to share their blueprint is considered a serious violation and may result in moderation action, up to and including a ban.

Just a last few days reminder to get your Warcraft World Cup Promotional Decor before it closes this upcoming 11 August 2026 (End of Season 1). After that, it's no more.

HOW TO GET IT

To unlock three unique housing decor items, head to the checkerboard lawn located at 39, 60 in Silvermoon and speak with Richmond.

  1. /way #2393 39.3 59.1 Richmond
  2. Purchase a Tabard of Participation (Alliance or Horde version) and equip it. -- A reminder: You can purchase BOTH tabards, so switch to an alt on the opposing faction and grab the other!
  3. If you learned the transmog via right click, purchase another tabard and equip it manually (drag and drop).
  4. Or transmog your current tabard into the Tabard of Participation.
  5. Purchase three Practice Balls from Richmond.
  6. Move to the center of the checkerboard lawn, where the circular marker is located.
  7. Use the Practice Balls and "kick" them by clicking on them, guiding each ball into either goal.
  8. Successfully scoring all three goals will award the "Goal" achievement.

Completing the achievement unlocks the following decor items in your Housing Catalog:

Additional copies of these decor items can be purchased from Richmond for 5,000 gold each.

You may ALSO buy additional copies from the promotional vendors.
