Can't stop making custom windows
Built a pretty window backdrop for some item tutorials! Though, it seems people are more interested in how I built the window... maybe I'll make a tutorial on that too later!

Inspired by the bay window on CottageWizard's Cozy Fairytale Cottage, had to put my own spin on it and make a wooden mountain cottage to match my interior style!
I’ve been thinking a lot about WoW Housing lately, and I honestly feel Blizzard is very close to creating something special socially – but one part of the current system feels like a missed opportunity.
Right now, one of the weekly objectives asks players to gather several people inside a single house. The problem is: this mostly works for players with active guilds or friend groups. Solo players, introverts, or casual players often struggle with it.
What if instead the objective was something like:
"Visit 3-5 player homes."
Then Blizzard could add a portal/matchmaking feature that sends players to random public houses across servers.
Players who want visitors could manually enable a "Public / Discoverable House" option, and their homes would enter a shared pool. You enter the portal, get sent to a random home, explore it for a few minutes, maybe interact with objects or discover secrets, and get progress toward the weekly.
I genuinely think this would solve multiple problems at once:
One of the coolest parts of Housing is discovering how other players use lighting, atmosphere, hidden passages, unusual decoration tricks, and environmental storytelling. Right now many incredible homes remain completely unseen unless you already know the owner personally.
A system that encourages players to organically visit random homes could turn Housing from "private decoration instances" into an actual social ecosystem.
I joined the Buildcraft challenge to build a brand new kitchen in the tiny room. I thought, we don't see enough Dwarf builds and I bet I could build a cute one!
Let me know what you think!
You can see a little clip to get a feel of the room on my Youtube.

So, I demolished my old house and started anew. Here’s a sneak peek of what I’m working on. Idea from Telasondre! ❤️

I got a Guild house tour coming up in a few days and a some places in my house need some TLC to give them a more fitting look, i wanted to do something, Nightborne themed for a few space in my house but i can't really get it to work. It's starting to feel like I am not going far enough to really pull all the Elven perfection i can out of the space when working with a limited number of items
Felt like throwing up a picture of what I have now, though it feels nothing special. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat, or anyone might have any advice/tips for what I'm feeling at the moment.
I've moved, built, and torn down a number of houses just trying to come up with something I can be happy with. Saved a number of posts here and on Youtube with ideas I planned to come back to for inspiration. All in all though, I'm now back to square one and am just finding it hard to get motivated again.
There's a few reasons for that.
The lack of decor/customization for what I'm looking for. My main is a man'ari eredar warlock, and a number of my builds involved trying to make a cool Legion-themed stronghold. For the outside, I inevitably settled for a night elf house with some fel corruption placed in and around it, like it was formerly a druid barrow den or something. All in all though it just feels "eh kinda good enough".
For the inside though, my options are basically just stone and wood. My choices are to either make-do with that, pretend my Legion ship is made from wood from Orgrimmar, or use up a ton of decor to awkwardly place a bunch of fel fountains/corruption pits upside down, and deal with the clipping issues there.
The arbitrary restrictions as to what is allowed and not allowed. In one exterior I had, my house entrance was basically the Dark Portal. When I tore it down and rebuilt it one day though, suddenly I couldn't put the Dark Portal back up. Felt a tad irritating, and right now my exterior is empty until hopefully they fix that.
The biggest part of what's killing my motivation though, as sad as it is to say, it's all of you guys and your amazing builds. As mentioned I saved a bunch of inspiration posts from here, but when it comes down to replicating it...I'm simply just not that good, lol. I would look at an awe-inspiring build here and then look at mine as basically a pile of junk. xD
Thanks for letting me vent.
two rooms, one bed for the two married chars, a altar for the dk and a third bed for the 4th member. also study corner for 4th member. Fit in a bathroom and some other stuff.
content with two rooms, and made the outside shaped like the rectangle inside because it bothered me it wasn't. i'd do windows except since windows can't be put outside, it would then bother me to put windows inside and not have them outside lol.
Does anyone else struggle with the random fireplace flames in their house? 😅
I love the cozy vibe, but the floating magical flames keep spawning in random spots around my home and it’s starting to look haunted. Sometimes they’re in the middle of the room, next to furniture, or just hovering where they shouldn’t be.
Hi all,
So I've designed on paper how I'd like my house, however I cannot see the option to remove the ceiling, essentially having a two floored large open space.
Best Regards - Athy
My coastal manor so far. Still need to work on the bedrooms, the library, and the outside. I also have some hidden rooms planned, but I will need to wait until we get more decor budget.
I feel like there is such a firehouse of stuff to do that I’m not getting back to my house. I feel like there is so much to collect that I spend it collecting vs building. I also feel like D4 had an impact.
What do you think, is the content cadence too fast? Does it impact your housing time? How many alts do you actively play as well?
I love seeing what people are doing. When I do build, there are so many great ideas here!

Welcome to my pandaren mage Kathandrion's home! (Plot 48, Razorwind Shores) His house is a cozy pandaren home, with a walled courtyard garden, pandaren living area (bedroom, living room, tea room), teahouse patio, and a mage tower featuring "portals" to Netherstorm, Nazjatar, and Zandalar.
Visitors are welcome! I posted a YouTube video walkthrough of the house at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H57p6BT80T4

Being The Highlord is not an easy job. Sometimes you have to take work home with you.

Creator Youtubes:
Spent the day redesigning this wing of my sketchy industrial R&D and contraband sales company build, Kameyama Enterprises.
Got a new, expanded biolab messing with an interdimentional fungus, and doing a little harvesting of whatever this green stuff it produces is.
Improved research facility includes expanded void analysis, magma analysis and murloc resilience testing bays.
Archives got scaled back a bit due to budget, and needs a little sprucing up...once I figure out what to cannibalize elsewhere in the build.😬
