anyone on here got experience selling Sportstech?

physical sports tech products are hard to sell so I wanted to ask for advice and experience?

selling a product to athletes and teams

Been in the game a long time, feeling like I’m pretty exhausted from the stress of trying to sell. Sold pretty much everything but we know it’s all outsourcing to AI and people don’t really read emails ect anymore. With the success rate dropping daily, I’m thinking of making a pivot into something else.

has anyone moved from sales into something different / exciting?

what’s been your experience so far?

( M 40 ) I have been in sales and high level business development my whole career and it looks like the industry just nose dived in the past few years...( or when chat GPT, Automation was available ). I just finished a global BDM project with an Asian robotics company ( not AI ) and find myself looking for a new role however.... WTF is going on?

Has the whole world just outsourced the job to AI? Lazy pointless outreach done with full automation and zero skill. Has BD and sales gone from being a highly respected and skilled role to an unskilled role over night?

I apply for jobs and get told that every role is now field sales based and as I don't drive no opportunities are now available.

Apparently everyone has chosen to automate and now use field sales people to go build relationships in person meaning instead of decision makers inboxes being full of AI slop, its now turning up at their door!!!

Anyone got an idea for an immediate pivot? I need a job.

I have a soft furnishings product ( IPC ) finally on a textiles framework with supply chain.

it took a whole year to organise

but now what? No help, promotions or pushing will be done from supply chain so I need to get buyers.

Anyone got a strategy that works?
