Experiences with SSRIs and coming off them ?

I keep reading that SSRIs have horrible side effects, don’t work or if they do they can stop working later. I read that over time they change your brain so you’re never the same if you come off. And that coming off them can be incredibly difficult and takes years.

I’m interested to hear about people’s experiences, what made you decide it was time to try, and how was it coming off? How did you know you were ready?

For context I’m 7m PP, I had PPA till about 5 months when my cycle returned now it seems to be coming back. I’ve avoided meds so far.

PPA has returned?

7m PP. I had PPA from 6 weeks till about 5 months when my cycle started again. I wasn’t fully cured but felt significantly better. I just had my 3rd cycle and it was really long and I actually felt pretty good during that time, but after my period I have started to feel daily anxiety again and a flat. I thought I was past this, now I feel at a loss. Can this happen and go away again or is this the new norm?

What’s your threshold for mould in a rental before you leave?

Been in rental for 6 months, have a baby and toddler. Mould now all over ceiling in living/dining, some in kitchen, bathroom, child’s room, our room next to baby’s cot. Just noticed our antique sideboard is covered in mould. REA has been responsive and organized assessment. Apartment has 80% humidity. Already had shower leak and therefore carpets replaced 3 months ago and that wall is still wet as per assessment. They say they will do a proper mould cleaning sign Mould company but I don’t feel great about ongoing dampness and health impact for my family. The apartment is ground floor and very dark.
