Update after moving to pon
Hi guys it’s been a week since I’ve moved my Alocasias to pon. I have a frydek variegated and a pink black velvet.
I seperated a pup, a sprout and a corm from the mother frydek and moved her aswell as the pups from a nursery soil into pon. I hadn’t filled the waterreservoir for the mother plant but flushed it with water every two days. Today I did fill the reservoir to see how that would go since she didn’t show any bad signs, but instead folded out a new leaf and created a new growth point.
I did already fill all of the reservoirs for the pups and black velvet because they are in the akerbar greenhouse and the high humidity made the transit easier on them. And I will say they are ABSOLUTELY thriving. The black velvet is giving my it’s first leaf made in my place and it’s proving to be a big leaf since its growth is so thick. I am super excited for how it will look.
The frydek sprout is also breaking its first leaf through the layer and the pup has made a new growth point.
I’ll show you guys some photos but I am proud to say that my first time moving plants to pon went REALLY well.
