Basically I find it really hard to find a pitch, I need the singer on in the background to sound anything close, I’ve tried to practice this but putting it in action it falls apart horribly. A problem is the voice I hear when I sing sounds on pitch and in key, but listening back it’s always off, and I can’t tell if it’s something about how I hear myself in my head or how I hear myself when I listen back. I can match a note when someone irl holds one because I notice there’s no (or extremely little) ‘oscillating’ of the notes which I’m pretty sure means it’s the same frequency. But doing this when listening to a song doesn’t happen or help because it just doesn’t do that for some reason. I’m prettyyy sure I’m not tone deaf as I play a decent few instruments, but I’m also fully deaf in my left ear due to never having an ear drum there so I’m wondering if that has anything to do with it. Anyway, thank you to anyone who listens and thank you a LOT to anyone who gives advice :)
