I have questions R36s and R36 Max

So I know these are both clones, I received them both for less than $10 and my daughter had one already and she loves it, so I got these for me to play with. I have dArkOSre installed on the Max, but no sound, and the S won’t boot past the initial splash screen and won’t go into the dArkOSre storage format setup. I knew the pink one was a v20 “2541” board but never checked the max. It turns out it’s the same board but a bigger screen is all it seems. Is there any luck with the sound fix for the max and any tips on what I might need to fix for the S to get dArkOSre booted properly? I don’t know why it would be such a different panel file setup if it’s the same board. I feel like the regular dtb with a screen size change would work, but I’m not even smart enough to get it installed properly so what do I know?
