I love this car. It took tweaking/learning a few things, but now I officially have ZERO issues with the car. Only positives. Below are the issues I ran into and the fixes:

-Defaulting to Guest profile

Fix: Pair my phone as a physical key after setting up the digital key

-Crunching noise from struts

Fix: TSB at service center, replace strut linkages with new design

-Extremely quiet navigation volume

Fix: Downgrade Google Maps, turn off automatic app updates

-Rattling front passenger door speaker on ~35hz notes at +70% volume

Fix: Bottom 1/3rd door panel replacement at service center

-Squeaky turn signal stalk when indicating left

Fix: small amount of WD40 Specialist Silicone Lubricant at the point where stalk meets the steering column

-360 camera not working after overnight charge

Fix: 4.2.11 upgrade while at service center for speaker/strut linkages

-Remote climate control slow/unresponsive

Fix: iOS app update

That seems like a long list, but some of it is me being picky, a lot of it is relatively minor, and most importantly, all of it was fixable.

The only cars I’ve ever had ZERO issues with are Japanese cars. That said, niggles aside, this car is much nicer to drive/be in than previous vehicles I’ve owned. My Tesla, by comparison, had serious fitment issues that I had to bring it to the service center several times in order to get fixed. The panel gaps on my Polestar 4 are basically nonexistent. It’s legitimately better built than my dad’s 2025 Lexus ES, at least if we’re just talking manufacturing tolerances.

I hope all the other Polestar 4 owners get to this point, too. It’s a great car that just needs a bit of work to get to perfection. Hopefully the list helps some of you out.
