Comicbook portfolio and art style

Hi,

I want to develop my comicbook portfolio and I am looking for advice regarding drawing style. My main struggle is this: I am currently leaning heavily into line-based style (see the attached drawings of mine), however I realized that the artists that I enjoy the most have often very black-heavy style (e.g. Mignola, Gigi Cavenago, Paul Azaceta). I am wondering whether I should try making a pivot when preparing the portfolio, or whether it would be better to lean into my current strengths?
To add to this, the genres I read the most are dark fantasy and horror (Sandman, Hellboy, Swamp Thing etc.), which seem to benefit from heavy blacks. Should I try to purse these genres with my current style, or would it be better to try to change it, or maybe prepare portfolio for genres that would be more fitting for my style (action, young adult)?

I am probably overthinking it, but I would appreciate some advice.
