I nickname my micropets to commemorate either the task I did to get them, or the person who was involved.
I'm not gonna share the person ones because I don't want to show people's names, but here are the ones I've named for tasks.
They take some thought, I sometimes open up a note in my notes app and brainstorm a big list.
Suds (blobcat) - 7 days of dealing with dishes for 5 minutes day
Socks (stacks) - 7 days of dealing with laundry for 5 minutes a day
Bink (squiggle) - 7 days of checking my online bank each day
Yup (blob) - 7 days of tidying up (short for "tidy-up")
Melody (melonberry) - 7 days of practicing a certain musical piece for 5 minutes
Case Closed (plop) - 7 days of putting my instruments away before bed every night.
Jolly (waddle) - 7 days of something that brings me joy each day (this is my ongoing shared task with my mom)
Hiphip (berry) - again 7 days of something that brings me joy (short for Hip Hip Hooray)
And yes I'm one of those people who basically only hatches blobs lol.
It would be fun to come up for other nicknames for tasks you guys do, so if you want to post an ongoing task I may or may not try to make it into a nickname.
