Hello, we decided to take in this slug after we rescued it (or thought we did) from a big spider sitting on top of it. The slug died later that night T_T

Do you think it was because of the spider or our intervention? If the latter, I'd appreciate any tips on how to avoid killing any future slugs "rescued" from my garden. Thanks!
