The hot springs scene is virtually perfect

The hot springs scene is virtually perfect

As I rewatch again I’m reminded how perfectly crafted the hot springs scene in Lindwurm is. From the moment he steps into the springs, to Alexia’s distressed look (so much for seducing him with her finely shaped buttocks clad in a thong!) to the rubber duck & the well-timed *thunk* of the shishi-odoshi, to their dialogue about Excalibur, to Cid regally rising & leaving, snapping the towel across his privates, the scene is amazing.

One of my favorite scenes that for once doesn’t involve Delta.

Cid has a tendency to overact…

After the Barnett-led Cult attack on the Midgar Academy, Rose went to visit Cid in the infirmary. Cid had sacrificed himself to save Rose, getting slashed across the chest.

So why are his arms, hands & face bandaged? Overacting much?

Though I admit many other times his acting is worthy of an Academy (ahem) Award. Mundane Mann may be my favorite named character role, but his confession to Alexia after losing the bet as Background Character A was short film perfection.

Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of all Time continuity error

When Takami builds his personal carriage & the floor plan is displayed, the caption for the room displays “Reyva” along with Maria & Sofia. Yet they won’t meet Reyva until later in the episode.

Is this the goddess messing with time again?
