I finished the anime recently and I have to admit…I feel like I’m at a loss rn. The whole point of an isekai anime is to transport the character to a different world and forget the old one. He went through all this trouble to make his organization powerful, to stand at the top, and he’s just…sent back? Everything he’s worked to obtain excluding personal power is just…gone? And I’ve heard that the earth arc is supposed to be the final arc of the story in general, which makes it even more perplexing why the author decided to go this route.

Kind of just straight up abandons everything he worked to build.

1. Shadow appears and stops Diablos, saving everyone and preventing the other Heroes deaths. This sets up a sequel.
2. Shadow appears and brings the future characters back to the present, making Freya to sacrifice her friends to stop Diablos.
3. Ending 1 happens but when Shadow and the future characters return to their time, they see nothing has changed. Turns out, having Heroes who only know how to backstab one another and are only womanchildren still make them easy prey to the Organization.

A/N: Having Shadow rizz the Heroes is already on the table. So, don't bother writing that in your post.
