Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some insight or similar experiences regarding a B1/B2 application. Here is my profile:

Citizenship: Dual Iranian/Turkish (Born in Iran, Turkish via investment).
Age: 23
Current Status: Grad student in Canada on a valid Study Permit.
Travel History: Lived/studied in Iran prior to moving to Canada for my current degree. One Schengen visa when I was 2.
Purpose of Trip: Presenting a paper at a major academic conference in the US this November. I still will be enrolled in my current program this November.
Passport for Application: Planning to apply using my Turkish passport.

My specific questions:

Does applying with a Turkish passport offer any actual advantage given my Iranian birth and recent residency there?
How is the "Travel Ban" situation currently handled for dual nationals?
Realistically, what are the chances of getting the visa in time for November if I apply now? I’m worried about the mandatory administrative processing for Iranian-born applicants.

Has anyone with dual Iranian citizenship applied from Canada recently? Would love to hear about your timeline and if you were granted a visa.
