Hi! I want to read a novel I dropped years ago, but I can’t, for the love of me, remember what it was called. Would be grateful if someone in the Reddit knew. I didn’t come that far into the novel, but here is some of the stuff I remember,(sorry for the messy text):
About:
- Starts in medias res, with the main character and two or three others running from an alligator(?)-like monster, I think. They die, and the main character returns a few years back, to present day.
- Present time is a futuristic earth, with an unknown doomsday just around the corner, caused by an earthquake, I believe. (It is Due in between 3 months—1 year after the MC’s return, I can’t remember)
- While earth will inevitably meet its end, all the players of a certain fulldive game will mysteriously survive and wake up in the bodies of their game characters in another world.
-Knowing all of this and given a second chance, the main character plans ahead to have a better chance at surviving.
- For their game character, the MC picks a gunslinger-ish class with the enchanter job. They pick a reptilian or demonic race, (purple I think?). Can’t remember any thing else, other than that the MC was careful with their bullet usage, seeing as they were expensive to make.
- One of the earliest quests supposedly involved a church, or something.
- Ah, and the MC has a grandma in the real world,
