Instagram account stuck in login loop for months — Locked + Deactivated
So back in January I deactivated my Instagram for the first time after having it for over 10 years. A week later when I tried to log back in, the login button would just load for a few seconds and stop. Tapping it again and again does nothing, and it just takes me back to the login page.
I've tried logging in on my phone, laptop, and PC, tried different browsers, even a VPN. Nothing works. I've reset my password a couple of times, and I once did a selfie verification but still nothing changed.
When I check the Meta Accounts Center through Facebook, my Instagram shows up but it says "Locked • Deactivated" underneath my username. The only option it gives me is a link to a help article that's completely useless.
The worst part is that whenever I try to recover the account, no verification codes ever arrive — not by email, not by SMS. Nothing. So every single recovery path is a dead end.
Meta has no human support to contact. The automated help center is useless and Meta AI was no help either. I've been locked out of a 10 year old account for months with zero resolution.
Has anyone dealt with this exact situation or found a way out of it?
