As per title, I'm in the hydrothermal wastes and my missions are approaching unplayable due to laggy gameplay during missions. When I'm docked at a station, everything runs as it should, it's only when I'm out to sea that it gets this way.

An older thread suggested a too well-stocked ship can cause these issues, but that it works fine in station makes me think it's something more with the wilds particularly. Anybody have any experience or thoughts on getting it to run smoother?

Finally got the perk to get extra rep on missions, meaning I can go back to separatist stations and do missions to make up for the -44 I was at while not putting myself at -44 with coalition. I sail back to the closest one, and the admin wants me to get the clowns off his station. I'm on decent terms with the honk mother, so I convince them that it's time to move on. Five of them follow me like ducklings, and I bring them on my ship and leave them in the oxygen generator room, and they seemingly had no authorization to open my doors, so kept them there while I went to try and talk to the admin

I come back down, and they're on the ground. Suffocated. In the oxygen generator compartment. They had oxygen masks on them. Unused. This wasn't what the administrator wanted

"oh no. Oh no no. Oh no," thought I, as I stripped them and dragged them one by one to my deconstructor. 'Nobody can ever know." I bring their ID tags down to my lower airlock and flush them into the deep. I try to act natural as I bring their hammers to the clown merchant to sell them off
