I started a business with a good friend which is probably my first mistake. It's junk removal and clean up. Today, unbeknownst to me, my partner used our work trailer (we split the cost) to help one of his personal friends move. Something happened with the trailer while mpving the guys stuff. It blew a tire, damage the trailer hitch and spliced some wiring on the trailer while his personal truck sustained some damage as well.

AM I THE ASSHOLE HERE for wanting to tell him he's monetarily responsible for fixing the damaged trailer since he was using it on the side without me knowing? Thay wouldn't be the firat time mind you. I'm not sure if the "friend" was going to pay him or not, I'm sure he would have, but he woulda never gave me anything out of that money even though I own 50% of said trailer I'm almost certain.

I have half a mind to buy out his 50% of the trailer minus the damages HE sustained to it and just continue the Biz by myself. The Biz is in my name only with the Govt.

Conflicted here...
