LCS are getting crazy
Stopped by one of the few lcs near me today. Needed to sell some pms for house funds. I’ve tried to sell both gold and silver on pmsforsale with no luck, needed the funds today. Luckily didn’t take too much of a hit on gold, got 97% of spot.
The thing that got me the most, their silver prices. Both buying and selling. I have a tube of silver maples with no milk spotting, they said the $4 back of spot.
Looked over and saw a wooden bin of sovereign coins, a lot of RCM coins, listed as “on sale” at generic round pricing.
Asked the fella behind the counter what their price for generics was currently. I think spot at that time was $85~, he told me their price for generics is $93. EIGHT dollars over spot, and they’re buying BU silver coins for $4 back of spot.
I’d rather they just spit in my face. Shoutout monumentmetals for their great pricing. I most likely will NOT bring doing business with that shop anymore purely on principle. Shits getting crazy.
