Canceling With Optimum is Like Trying to Escape from Alcatraz

I canceled all of my services in May just to find out that they re-instated with out my consent. Mind you it was an exercise in sainthood to not go off on the representatives, because they kept coming back with new offers and stalling. Anyway, cancelations were confirmed via email. The other day, I get a notification about a bill coming due. I called again, just to be held hostage for an hour. I had to get off the call so I could get back to work. I wasted my entire lunch hour. Today, I called back and it's been 30 minutes. I got transferred to the final cancelation department and here we go again. Same questions, same hostage negotiations. At this point, I'm responding like a bot. "No." "No." "No.". Anyone else experience this?
