This one has a cap this time

My 2nd grande in a week and my last according to my partner

The spare bulbs I bought for my yellow grande don't seem to work in this lamp though.

Is this one younger than my yellow one?

First switch on after spraying the grande black and the IKEA plant pot cap 👍

I'm not sure the bulb is fitting in my lp correctly

I should just screw it in but I'm having to push and screw

Does it need replacing and what do I get and from where?

I'm in the UK

If I unscrew those two screws would I be able to lift it out?

Just plugged a dimmer in after this and have it at around 60% to see what it does now ..what % or position on the dial should the dimmer be at?

First time I've had it on long enough for it to move after buying it yesterday.

It's taken about 4 hours to move I think, but it's only on the 60w bulb that came with it at the moment.

Waiting for the metal cup to arrive tomorrow to see if it will work/fit as the cap since it came with an Excalibur one.

I'm going to spray paint the base and cap black mat, it may hide the large dent/crease that's round the top where the glass bottle sits in it.

Just managed to get this 6800 lava world lamp

It's massive, I underestimated the size of it 😀

It doesn't have the right cap/top, I think it's came with an Excalibur lid?

I've found a chip/fries stainless steel mug type holder that is 10 x 11.4cm would that work as a cap?

With it being stainless steel would that cause it to overheat and would I definitely have to try and find an aluminium one?

The base also has a big crease/dent in it, where the bottle sits...would a wooden spoon and a cloth and a hairdryer sort that?

What year/model is it?

Then there's the bulb, not sure it's the right one ..it was at at angle so when I've taken it out it won't go back in, do I push and twist or should it just turn/twist? 60w or 100w?
